D.I.in Una Steiner ist medienübergreifende Künstlerin und Autorin aus Wien. In ihrer Arbeit setzt sie sich mit Raum- und Machtverhältnissen, mit der Infragestellung, Veränderung und (Durch-)Brechung von Traditionen und (Geschlechter-)Rollen auseinander.

A confession of a woman from age 0 to age 96 through her mother's advice in 13 parts. Sometimes comic, sometimes tragic, this unstoppable confession explores motherhood and woman’s fears in a patriarchal society. With a touch of folklore, customs, tradition, and superstition but also rebellion.

The text was written during the residencies at La Chartreuse and Maison Maria Casarès. It premiered at The Cherry Arts in Ithaca (USA) in 2021, directed by Susannah Berryman, and later staged at the Open Fist Theatre in Los Angeles, directed by Beth F. Milles.
