Naïma Mazic - PoLy-Mirrors

Vergangene Showtimes

A re-performance of feminine diagonals, featuring music by Elias Stemeseder.

Do diagonals perform femininity through the body? Starting from this question, choreographer Naïma Mazic shows lowered gazes, tilted heads, revealed necks and twisted polyrhythmic bodies. At the same time, she creates a confusion in the audience regarding who observes whom. Two dancers and two jazz musicians of n ï m company devise a joint rhythmic language, breaking the spectators’ usual sight lines and opening new, skewed, queer perspectives. PoLy-Mirrors is a glissando into a diagonal form of feminine being.
