When We Were Monsters

Der Künstler und Autor Steve Reinke (geb. 1963, USA) ist vor allem für seine monologbasierte Serie Final Thoughts bekannt. Reinke lebt in Chicago. In seinen Video- und Soundarbeiten sowie kuratorischen Projekten beschäftigt sich der Künstler James Richards (geb. 1983, UK) unter Rückgriff auf Archivrecherchen, gefundenes Material und kollaboratives Arbeiten mit Themen wie Obsession, Begehren und Technologie. Richards lebt in Berlin. Zu seinen letzten Ausstellungen zählen Crossing (mit Leslie Thornton), Secession, Wien (2018) sowie Requests And Antisongs, ICA, London (2016). Richards vertrat auf der 57. Biennale von Venedig Wales (2017). / James Richards (b.1983, UK) is an artist whose video, sound and curatorial projects examine themes of obsession, desire and technology through the use of archival research, found footage and extensive collaboration. He lives in Berlin. Recent exhibitions include Crossing (with Leslie Thornton), Secession, Vienna (2018) and Requests And Antisongs, ICA, London (2016). Richards represented Wales at the 57th Venice Biennale (2017).
